Bogus Basin
Only about 30 minutes(16.5 miles) from Boise. This mountain offers 2600 acres of skiable terrain, 900 acres groomed and 165 acres for night skiing.  It is serviced by
2 high speed quads, 4 double chairs, 1 triple chair, and one people mover on
the beginner hill. Bogus also has 37km groomed nordic trails.  For those that
like to go tubing you have to try the Pepsi Goldrush Tube Hill.

Tamarack

 

Tamarack resort is approx 90 minutes from Boise, near the small
town of Donnelly Idaho. It features 41 runs and 7 lifts,
including 3 high speed chair lifts which services 1100 acres of skiable terrain.  It has a base elevation of 4900' and a summit elevation of 7700'.  Tamarack also has 25km of NordicTrails.

 Brundage
This wonderful ski area is located just minutes from McCall Idaho.  It features
1 high speed quad, and 4 triple chairs which services over 1500 acres of
skiable terrain. Its longest run is 2 miles long!

The ski season usually runs from Thanksgiving through mid April.

Tubing in McCall
If you love to go tubing then this a great place to visit. The Tubing hill
is 700ft long and has 4 lanes of varying degrees of difficulty. They
supply the tubes, and have a tow to get you to the top of the hill.

Sun Valley
Though a little further from Boise (about 3 hours), it is worth the drive.
During the winter, the mountain features finely appointed day lodges, a total of 14 lifts and 65 runs await
you on either side of the mountain. Bald Mountain's seemingly endless runs stretch 2,054 acres
to the edges of the Sawtooth National Forest and slide another 3,400 vertical feet, top to bottom.
